Obscura Studio started as a one-person operation in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs in 2015. The brief was simple: build a window treatment business that operates the way a good interior designer operates — with a clear brief, precise execution, and no disappearing act after installation.
Cape Town's Southern Suburbs and Atlantic Seaboard are home to some of the most considered residential architecture in the country. The homes here deserve window treatments that match that standard — not the same catalogue products installed by whoever's available.
We keep our client list deliberate. We don't take on every job. We focus on doing a limited number of projects well — which means the person who consults with you is the same person who oversees your installation.
We measure twice, manufacture once, and don't cut corners on fit. If it's not right, we remake it.
We'll tell you if a product isn't right for your space. We'd rather lose a sale than have you live with something that doesn't work.
You get a direct line to us — not a ticketing system. If something isn't right after installation, we come back.
We cover Cape Town and the greater metro — from the City Bowl, Southern Suburbs, and Atlantic Seaboard, up the West Coast to Blouberg, east into the Winelands to Paarl, and south-east to the Helderberg.
